SETTING THE HOOK

Dom and Tony rode to the Everglades Sportsman’s Club (the launching point for the buggies) together. At one point, the conversation went like this:

Tony: Dad, did you see in the sports section of the paper where the Game Commission said it has instituted some kind of program to aid the hunters in harvesting more game during hunting season this year?

Dom:No, I didn’t. What did it say?

Tony:Well, it sounded like the Commission put out some sort of markers near the spots where the Commission had investigated and recorded heavy deer activity.

Dom:(Hearing the word “deer”, and not about to let anybody think they know more about deer hunting than he does) Oh yes! I think I remember reading that article now. Wonder what the markers look like.

Tony: (Trying hard not to bust a gut) Hell, I don’t know. They’re probably a marker on a tree, or a sign or something. I sure hope they have some around our camp.

Dom: Yeah, me too.
